To observe martyrdom day of the Father of the nation, as ‘Shaheedi Divas’, a function was organised at E-Max Group of Institutions here today and glowing tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi and other martyrs of the country. The participants observed a two-minute silence on the occasion. Tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi by Dr. B.S Jaswal, Director Emax Institute of Computer Applications; Dr. Susheel Kaura, Director Emax Insitute of Engineering and Technology at a prayer meeting at the Campus. Pardeep Agarwal, General Secretary of Emax Group said the nation would always remember the sacrifices made by Mahatma Gandhi and other martyrs of the country. He said Mahatma Gandhi led a unique non-violent movement to bring freedom to the nation. He said strengthening the unity, integrity of the country would be the real tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and other martyrs.
Finance Secretary of Emax, Rajiv Bansal also paid tributes to the father of Nation. Speaking at the occasion, bansal said it was due to the sacrifices made by the Mahatma and thousands others that people were enjoying freedom. He urged people to follow in the footsteps of the Mahatma and abide by his ideals.
