E max Group of Institutes celebrated Basant Panchami with fervour and enthusiasm in a unique way by making an effort to bring Basant in Street Children’s Life. The children aged between 6 to 14 years from the slums, streets and resettlement colonies of the surrounding areas were given a day to cherish with bright color kites and dresses. The aim of the effort is to create an atmosphere to ensure their rehabilitation as productive members of society The Yellow Day was celebrated in different parts of surrounding areas of Emax Campus by flying kites and distributing sweets to Street Kids. The skies were resplendent with kites of all colours and sizes. The objective behind the initiative is to bring such children out of deprived circumstances, who will in turn not only build a dignified future but also be a part of the prosperity of our society in long run. The youth club of Emax Prayas is encouraging the uneducated youth living in slum and Juggis to adopt the professions to earn money and not to beg for their living. With kites flying high and the students dressed smart in yellow a kite-flying competition was held amongst Street Kids.
Chairman of the Institute Om Prakash Aggarwal appreciated the efforts of the staff and said that such social celebrations bring everyone across the spectrum together. He said that it is the duty of every citizen to provide education, basic healthcare and nutritional support to underprivileged children of the society so that they can contribute towards the development of the country.
