E-Max Group of Institutions celebrates National Day of Patriotism with fervent patriotism


The feeling of patriotism was all-pervasive as the students and faculty members of Emax Group of Institutions celebrated National Day of Patriotism at the Institution Campus on Monday. While an impressive show of patriotism was put up by the students, chief guest, Rahul Mehra, Branch Manager Reliance Capital Chandigarh appreciated the enthusiastic young generation. Mehra, while greeting the students & faculty members, said one should value the freedom that comes with a very high cost and not take it for granted. He told them to remember the sacrifices of martyrs and inculcate love for the country. A cultural programme comprising poems, songs and skits was held to mark the occasion. The college choir presented patriotic songs. Speeches on freedom fighters were also delivered. The students took a pledge to take the nation to great heights with hard work and sincerity. A huge flex was displayed in the campus to write patriotism slogans by the students. Students written slogans like Jai Hind: Proud to be Indian, men should not forget the great men who sacrificed their life for our nation’s freedom, Chak Do Phate Indians etc. In his inspiring speech Chairman of Emax Group of Institutions Om Prakash Aggarwal said that Subhash Chander Bose was an Indian revolutionary who led an Indian national political and military force against Britain and the Western powers during World War II. Bose was one of the most prominent leaders in the Indian independence movement and is a legendary figure in India today. He said that he is happy to see young budding engineers and managers exhibiting patriotism. In his speech, the general secretary of Emax Group of Institutions Pradeep Aggarwal asked the students to be good citizens and sincere in their duties towards the society in general. He urged the students to fight against social evils like corruption, dowry, female foeticide and terrorism. He exhorted the students to even inculcate the spirit of patriotism in all earnestness. He said martyrs were not merely restricted to any region or faith, but belong to all, irrespective of caste, colour and creed.
