Conclude One Month Survey Camp (Dalhausi) of Civil Engineers






One Month Survey Camp has concluded today. Camp was started from 16th August, 2012 for a month to inculcate practical knowledge in the students. The site chosen for the camp was Dalhousie (HP) which is bounded by thick forest of Pine and Deodar trees. Dalhousie (HP) is located at an altitude of 2010 Meters above sea level. This survey camp was as part of the academic curriculum of E-Max School of Engineering & Applied Research.

A very successful camp was held and around 120 students left for a month full of survey exercises. The students were equipped with instruments in the morning, with instructions on how to use these with guides available to them during camp. In addition, the students were introduced to some of the latest surveying techniques. The camp was coordinated by Prof. Deepankar Kumar Ashish, HOD, Civil Engineering Department. Prof. Deepankar said that such survey camps provides students with opportunity to gain practical exposure. He said that civil engineering can only be learned through practically working. Sharing the objective of this camp here today Prof. Deepankar said this rugged hilly region had provided students ample opportunity to draw, design and build roads, bridges, tunnels and houses.

In this camp the best students were Rakesh Kumar Katoch and Aftab Hussain and Active student were Arun Kumar and Rinchom Lama.

Finance Secretary Rajiv Bansal congratulated Head of the Civil Deptt. Prof. Deepankar Kumar Ashish and all the students for the successful Survey camp and said that practical knowledge of the camp would help the students in their professional’s career.

Chairman Om Prakash Aggarwal congratulated the Civil Engineering deptt. for successfully organized a month long survey camp.

FREAKS NIGHT (FOR HOSTELLER'S) ORGANISED IN E-MAX




The students of B.Tech, MBA, MCA, Diploma, of E-Max Group of Institutions organized a Freaks Night for Hosteller’s. In this programme more than 1100 students, faculty and guest were present. The Programme commenced with Lighting of Lamp by Chief Guest Shri Rajiv Bansal, Finance Secretary of E-Max Group of Institutions followed by Saraswati Vandana by college students. Addressing the students Rajiv Bansal, Finance Secretary, E-Max Group of Institutions, wished a bright future to all the students. He said that sincerity, dedication to work and ethical values alone shall make them successful in their life. He advised them to always keep themselves updated with current affairs. Praveen Sharma, Media Manager of E-Max Group thanked the Chief Guest for his valuable presence and great motivation to the students.

In this programme Rajiv Bansal, Finance Secretary, Rajesh Chauhan OSD Finance Secretary, Praveen Sharma, Media Head, Sunil Arya, TPO, Hemant Arora, Mohit, Deepak Rattan and other faculty members were present.

A Cultural programme was presented by the students in which included Nepali Group Song, Kashmari Group Song, Bhutan’s Group Song, Bhangra, folk dance, Himachali Natti, Harayanvi Songs etc.

SEMINAR ON NATIONAL SANCHAI DAY AT E-MAX





Emax Group of Institutions observed World Suicide Prevention Day as an awareness day in order to provide commitment and action to provide suicides. A seminar was organized in which students were educated to adopt a healthy stress free lifestyle. Dr. B.S Jaiswal and Dr. Susheel Kumar Kaura gave tips and tricks to handle stress during the interactive session. Dr. Jaswal highlighted the importance of participation of students in cultural and social activities which helps in relieving stress during study times. Dr. Kaura said that as the competition is increasing day by day, so students should know the various methods to handle stress. He elaborated 20 Tips to Tame Stress. Some of which are to Perform diaphragmatic or “deep breathing” exercises. Lieing face down on the floor and begin breathing deeply and slowly, with your hands resting under your face for five minutes, Mediation, Regular exercise or Yoga, Make time for music, art or other hobbies that help relax and distract you. Learn to identify and monitor stressors. Come up with an organized plan for handling stressful situations. Be careful not to overgeneralize negative reactions to things.Make a list of the important things you need to handle each day. Try to follow the list so you feel organized and on top of things. Put together a coping plan step by step so you have a sense of mastery. Keep an eye on things that might suggest you’re not coping well. For example, are you smoking or drinking more, or sleeping less? Keep a list of the large and little hassles in your day versus the major stressful events in your life. This helps you focus on the fact that you’re keeping track of and managing those as well as you can. Set aside a time every day to work on relaxation. Avoid using caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, junk food, binge eatingand other drugs as your primary means for coping with stress. While they can be helpful once in awhile, using them as your only or usual method will result in longer-term problems, such as weight problems or alcoholism. Learn to just say, “No” occasionally. It won’t hurt other people’s feelings as much as you think and is simply a method to be more assertive in your own life, to better help you meet your own needs. Get the right amount of sleep. For most people, this is seven to nine hours a night. Cultivate a sense of humor; laugh. Research has shown that having a close, confiding relationship protects you from many stresses. Don’t run from your problems! This only makes them worse. Talk to your family and friends. See if they can help.

Rajiv Bansal, Finance Secretary said that suicide has a number of complex and interrelated and underlying contributing factors ... that can contribute to the feelings of pain and hopelessness. Having access to means to kill oneself - most typically firearms, medicines and poisons - is also a risk factor. He said that the institute is providing various sports and recreational activities to student to counter stress during studies.

Pradeep Aggarwal, General Secretary of Emax Institutes said that suicide is the "most common cause of death for people aged 15 – 24." More people die from suicide than from murder and war; it is the 13th leading cause of death worldwide. According to WHO, suicide accounts for nearly half of all violent deaths in the world. As of 2011, an estimated one million people per year die by suicide or "a death every 40 seconds or about 3,000 every day”. He said that according to WHO there are twenty people who have a failed suicide attempt for every one that is successful, at a rate approximately one every three seconds.

Awareness Campaign on International Literacy Day by E-Max




An Awareness campaign was organized by the youth club “Prayas” of E-Max Group and faculty members of E-Max Education College on the occasion of International Literacy Day. The programme started with flag off by E-max Engineering College Director Doctor Sushil Kaura. Dr. Kaura congrats all the team members for this campaign and stressed the need to educate people and children.. On this occasion teams of Youth Club members visited Slam Areas and aware the people and children for education. They are advised to Poor families of labours and brick klin workers were given knowledge about the education. Led by President Sunil Arya & Vice President Praveen Sahrma participated in awareness campaigns which included distribution of books.

Mr Bharat Bhushan Principal of Government Primary School, Kurali appreciated effort of E-max Youth Club.

I want to go to school and study but my father is no more. So I have to work with my mother here the whole day to earn some money to help run the house," Rajan, a Child labour working on a brick kiln told Students.

Rajiv Bansal Finance Secretary of E-Max Group said that education would help in the development of various skills, particularly, entrepreneurship, among the rural and urban women and would be the means towards drawing them into the mainstream of nation-building and ensuring their socio-economic status.

Teacher’s Day Celebrated at E-Max International School




Students of E-Max International School celebrated Teacher’s day. On this occasion Miss Matri Bansal & Savita Aggarwal from Management were the Chief Guest. Started the programme with lighting the lamp. Students organized a colorful Cultural programme with variety dances, recited poems, sang songs and delivered speeches. They also organised games for their teachers. Lunch and refreshments were organized by the students for the Teachers throughout the Day. Many prizes were given to the Teacher’s by the Chief Guest. Chief Guest Miss Matri Bansal delivered a speech on the occasion. In his speech, she said that all teachers are hard working and making sincere efforts for progress of school.

At the conclusion programme pay the tributes to Dr. S Radhakrishana by the Teachers & Students of E-Max School.

Principal of E-Max International School Tajinder Pal Kaur emphasized on the need for inculcating the spirit of dedication, devotion and discipline among students.

Miss Matri Bansal & Savita Aggarwal thanked the students & congratulated them for organizing such wonderful activities and blessed the students for a bright future.
