Emax’s organized extensive student outreach programme on energy conservation Day






Emax Group of Institutions organised an extensive student outreach programme on World Energy Conservation Day.  Seminar and Informatory sessions were organized to aware students for Energy conservation.  Declamation along with paper reading competition was organized. Students were made aware by demonstrating models of solar systems, wind systems and hydel systems. Various devices which can be used for energy conservation were demonstrated and explained to students.
A number of students from the periphery participated in the paper reading &  declamation competitions organized in order to make students aware about energy conservation. Dr  Sushil Kumar Kaura, elaborated on the importance of energy conservation in the present scenario. Dr. Kaura shared, “Energy conservation refers to efforts made to reduce energy consumption which can be achieved through increased efficient energy use or reduced consumption from conventional energy sources. This can lead to increase in capital, environmental quality and economic security. Considering the need to make the next generation more aware regarding efficient use of energy resources, it is necessary to educate the kids first. In this regard, promotion of energy efficiency in schools has been initiated by the power com through which the students of schools, colleges shall be made aware about the energy crisis we shall be facing one fine day if we do not contribute our share towards the conservation of this precious energy,” he further said.
Head of Department Mechanical Engineering Er. Jai Singh told the audience about various alternative sources of energy, which could be tapped to reduce our dependence on non-renewal energy resources. He also highlighted the potential use of solar, tidal, wind, geothermal and biomass energies for several applications in our day today life.
 “We shall be educating the students regarding very small seeming but crucial things related to energy conservation as turning off lights when not in use, forming an energy patrol to ensure that lights are out there is nobody in, removing unneeded light fixtures, using energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs,” Chairman of the group Om Prakash  Aggarwal added.

11 Students selected in Placement drive in E-Max




11 Students have been placed as Software Engineer and  Software Developer with Artech Information Systems during a joint campus placement  drive for B.Tech (CSE/IT/ECE) and MCA students held at E-Max Group of Institutions .

E-Max’s Media Manager Praveen Sharma said the students from various universities and colleges from NCR, Punjab, Haryana, HP, Himachal, Delhi etc., participated in the drive. The drive started with a pre-placement talk by HR Birendra Singh  and Technical Head  of Artech Information Systems. This was followed by Group Discussions, Technical & Final HR interviews. Finally 11 Students were selected after Technical & HR interviews. The selected candidates will join as Software Engineer &  Software Developer with the package of Rs 1.80 to 2.40 lakh per annum.
Company’s representatives expressed satisfaction on the quality of the students and wished them a bright future ahead and assured to visit again for selection of more students from Emax Group of Institutions. Rajiv Bansal, Secretary Finance of the E-max Group congratulated the selected students and motivated them to their best to their abilities in their respective jobs. Pradeep Aggarwal, General Secretary of the College thanked the officials of the company and stressed upon the students to work with a clear vision and focus to succeed in the highly competitive scenario.

Female Foeticide hits desk during Global Human Rights Day celebrations at Emax






Hundreds of participants, including women and youth groups, students, community leaders, native administration and local authorities joined on the global celebration of Human Rights Day under the slogan "My Voice Counts" held at Emax Group of Institutions. The Day was marked with several events including dances, traditional songs and drama.
Various schools of Haryana participated in the function with their drama scripts based on topics like Female Foeticide, Sexual Harassment at work place, Domestic Violence, Immoral Trafficking, Child Labour etc.  Jubilant teams of Cygnus High School, Ambala and Army Public School Ambala presented their eye-opening plays on female foeticide and decreasing sex ratio in Haryana.  Emax School Principal Tejinder  Pal Kaur & vice Principal Dilbaag Singh welcomed the Guests and School teams during the function.  Scripted Play on Female Foeticide highlighting the importance of women in society was awarded first prize. 
Ashok Bector, Chairman of Universal Human Rights Organization who was the Chief Guest during function expressed appreciation to the people for joining in the celebration of Human Rights Day, which is important for enlightening the community on their rights which are also included in the Indian Constitution. According to Bector’s statement, millions of people have taken to the streets over the past few years, demanding civil, political, economic, social or cultural rights, and asking for their right to participate fully in important decisions and policies affecting their daily lives. The UN Secretary-General's message reiterated that everyone has the right to be heard and to shape the decisions that affect their community. "International law is clear: No matter whom you are, or where you live, your voice counts.
K.C. Badhwar, Vice President of Universal Human Rights organization, who was the guest of honour during the function, said that the empowerment of women and members of other weaker sections will only come through education- not the bookish kind but the knowledge that empowers. It is not only the duty of government alone to impart this knowledge but of all organisations and individuals that want to protect human rights. Chairman of Emax Group Om Prakash Aggarwal said that emax joined the world in celebrating the common value for human dignity for every person and announced that soon emax will be running campaigns against female foeticide and child labour.
The students who were awarded for their plays during the function were Manisha, Pushkar, Tamanna, Simran, Mahima, Ninal Keshav from Cygnus High School; Dhruv from Army Public School and Savita , Manpreet and Rahul from Emax International School.
