Emax Group of Institutions celebrated World Book Day by organizing a Book Mela in the college campus. A huge exhibition of books was organized by various publishers of the north India and various religious, creative and inspirational books were exhibited. Books like autobio
graphies of various leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela along with the novels of Premchand, Bhartendu Harishchand and Haribansh Rai Bacchan were some of the books that attracted the students of all branches of the college. The Book Mela was inaugurated by Vice Chairman P.R. Bansal of the college by cutting the ribbon. Addressing the students he said that in this era of competition the students should read more newspapers and stay updated. The book mela was coordinated by Surinder Kumar, Head Librarian of the college along with coordinator Geeta Sharma. A interactive session was also held in the college to discuss the various ways to improve reading habits among the students. More than 500 students visited the book mela. and placement officer Sunil Arya, Coordinator Engineering Anmol Gautam, Kuldeep Kaur from B.Ed College were present with other faculty members.
Chairman of the college Om Prakash Aggarwal appreciated the head librarian and said that despite books in their curriculum, inspirational and spiritual books are also required as they are very much required for the overall development of the students.
