Efforts to bring colors in differently abled by Emax

Differently abled girls of Santawana Bhawan near Raipurrani Panchkula this afternoon enjoyed the happiest moments of their life when they celebrated Holi with great fervour with students and faculty members of Emax Group of Institutions. The Home run by Christian Missionaries is taking care of these differently disabled girls aging from 18 to 35 years. The students and staff members of college collected at Santavna and performed various cultural activities such as songs, dances etc. The different disabled girls also performed Group Dance and some short plays and actively participated with enthusiasm. Head Girl Madhu was the anchor of the programme that performed outstandingly.

During celebrations differently abled girls enjoyed with students by applying colours on them. Students also gave gifts Chocolates, pastries, sweets, bananas etc. This step was taken by PRAYAS – Youth Club of College to bring mentally challenged children in main stream. The atmosphere of the Santawana Bhawan was painted in the hues of red, green and yellow.

Some of the girls sang beautiful songs while some took our hearts away with their innocence and lovely gestures. Er. Sunil Arya training and placement officer, Praveen sharma media manager, Sister Agnas were also present during the celebrations.

Perhaps, this is for the first time an entire college shifts its Holi celebrations to a destitutes home like Santavna said sister Agnas. She said that it was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives- the meet yesterday- would always be remembered for some special and lovely reasons”
