171 students selected in first three days in Emax Mega Placement Fest

During the mega placement fest at E-Max Group of Institutions many Corporates visiting the campus in last three days for picking up bright Engineers and Management Graduates. The Corporates were HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Secureline Insurance Ltd., Omega Martime Management Services Pvt. Ltd., Blue Beacon Electronic Security Systems Pvt. Ltd.Tech Mahendra, HB Entertainment and Unicom Telelinks Ltd Over 1250 students from various Colleges of the region participated in the drives.

Ltd. represented by Manish Adhiya Sr. Manager HR & team, Omega Martime Management Services Pvtd. Ltd. represented by Roshan Godhan, Tech Mahendra represented by Pooja Jaswal HR Manager Global Resource Team, HB Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. represented by Pooja Manager HR and Jyoti Asst. Manager HR & Unicom Telelinks Ltd. represented by Sanjeet Rai HR Manager conducted placement drives for the selection of eligible students. The selection process of the companies varies from company to company. Finally 171 students were selected after the personal interviews. The selected students would be drawing yearly salary ranging from Rs.1.5 lacs to Rs.3.00 lacs per annum.

The Officials of the companies expressed satisfaction on the quality of the students and wished them a bright future ahead. The lively college campus, the enthusiastic students, the modern laboratories impressed the visiting company officials.

Chairman of the College Omparkash Aggarwal wished a bright future to the selected Engineering and Management students exphasising upon them to live by values such as dedication, hard work and discipline which will make them successful in their life.

Mega Placement Fest at Emax started with selections of 79 students on first day

A 10 days Mega Placement Fest started at Emax Group of Institutions with many students obtaining their dream jobs. 425 students of various streams of Diploma & MBA from across 4 Colleges participated in the fair. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Secureline Insurance Services Pvt. Ltd organized their placement drives today for selections.

Sanjeev Kumar, Area Acquisition Head; Dheeraj Batra, Sales Manager and their team represented HDFC Bank Ltd. ICICI Bank was represented by Achit Kapoor. Secureline Insurance Solutions was represented by Manish Arora, HR Head and Shifakhan, HR Manager of the company. On the first day 425 students appeared for the placement drive. In MBA HDFC bank and ICICI Bank shortlisted 65 candidates for the final personal interview and finally selected 33 students.

Secureline insurance services limited shortlisted 188 candidates for personal interviews and finally selected 46 students for providing them offer letters. Selected students will be given a pay package of Rs. 6500 to 8500 per month.

Representatives of companies had shown satisfaction over the quality of the students and appreciated the college for providing world class infrastructure and good facilities to students.

Chairman Om prakash aggarwal congratulated the successful students, wishing them a great career ahead and expressed gratitude to the participating companies.

Mega Job Fair in E-Max Group of Institutions

27 March, 2011(Sunday) – Panchkula. A Mega Job Fair has been scheduled to be held at Emax Group of Institutes from 28 March to 6 April 2011. This information was given by the Chairman of the College Om Prakash Aggarwal during a press conference organized in Hotel Shiraz. Despite Chairman, Vice Chairman Prithvi Raj Bansal, Training and Placement Officer engineer Sunil Arya, Media Manager Praveen Sharma were also present during the Conference.

Sunil Arya told media persons that 40 recruiters from ITES/BPO, Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, FMCG, Consumer durables, Stock Broking, Education and companies from many other segments are expected to pick up the available talent. E-max signs MoU with Panache Global

23 March, 2011 (Wednesday) Chandigarh: Education for employability is the buzzword at Emax Group of Institutions. On Wednesday, Emax entered into collaboration with Panache Global, Asia’s fastest and consistently growing solutions and service provider business group that efficiently improves our with business interests in Franchsing business, Media Business, Legal services, Finance solutions, Career consulting, WEB and IT. The MoU is for “Bridging the Gap between Industry and Academics”. Through this partnership, Panache Global and Emax will jointly work towards creating a complete academic framework for providing employment to engineering and management professionals and creating a large base of skilled manpower in the Region. Panache Global operations in Pan India and overseas and has a customer base of more than 30 companies and around 25 associates.

According to the MoU, the two biggies in education will aims at developing domain knowledge expertise in various fields of Employment Sources and Bridging the Gap between requirements of industry and academics.

At the signing ceremony, Chairman of Emax Om Prakash Aggarwal said that this collaboration would provide the right kind of skills to learners in the region. “Education without skills creates problems. Efforts to bring colors in differently abled by Emax

Differently abled girls of Santawana Bhawan near Raipurrani Panchkula this afternoon enjoyed the happiest moments of their life when they celebrated Holi with great fervour with students and faculty members of Emax Group of Institutions. The Home run by Christian Missionaries is taking care of these differently disabled girls aging from 18 to 35 years. The students and staff members of college collected at Santavna and performed various cultural activities such as songs, dances etc. The different disabled girls also performed Group Dance and some short plays and actively participated with enthusiasm. Head Girl Madhu was the anchor of the programme that performed outstandingly.

During celebrations differently abled girls enjoyed with students by applying colours on them. Students also gave gifts Chocolates, pastries, sweets, bananas etc. This step was taken by PRAYAS – Youth Club of College to bring mentally challenged children in main stream. The atmosphere of the Santawana Bhawan was painted in the hues of red, green and yellow.

Some of the girls sang beautiful songs while some took our hearts away with their innocence and lovely gestures. Er. Sunil Arya training and placement officer, Praveen sharma media manager, Sister Agnas were also present during the celebrations.

Perhaps, this is for the first time an entire college shifts its Holi celebrations to a destitutes home like Santavna said sister Agnas. She said that it was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives- the meet yesterday- would always be remembered for some special and lovely reasons”

Chairman of the college Om Prakash Aggarwal explaining the concept of Holi, added that Holi is not only a festival of colours, but also a festival when people, irrespective of their caste, colour and creed, get together to give new colors to the society and nation. International Seminar on Youth and Global Opportunities at Emax Institute

An International Seminar on “Youth and Global Opportunities” was organized by Emax Institute in association with AIESEC- World’s largest student organization. The objective of this seminar was to discuss the various aspects associated with youth development and global exchange opportunities available to the engineering & management students in various universities and companies abroad. Participation of youth in global learning environment is also discussed during the seminar.

The seminar started with keynote address by the Vice President of AIESEC Local Chapter Aakriti Verma .Karan Garg, Team Leader, Outgoing Exchange, AIESEC Chandigarh, Deeksha Maggo, Team Leader, Outgoing Exchange, Pranav, Team Leader, Outgoing Exchange, Denis Melehin from Vrasnoyansk University, Russia, Lilia Lingefug from Heidelberg, Germany, Ninja Katja Hott from Heidelberg, Germany, Paramjeet Kaur, Team Leader – Communications and Delivery, Karan Hooda, Team Leader,Outgoing Exchange and Malick Mbody from Senegal were delegates who were present during the seminar.

A global village was made by over 50 representatives from more than 15 countries across the globe wherein they portrayed their countries artifacts and culture. This was done by the students of Emax Institutes in association with members of AIESEC. The event was huge attraction for the students of Emax and the administration too. AIESEC here again proved how they envision to fulfill their vision of living diversity.

Global Entrepreneurs Program is an initiative by AIESEC in India to provide the youth a unique combination of multi-cultural entrepreneurial, social and leadership experience. Under this program, students from Emax including youth from Haryana would go and work abroad on a host of social issues ranging from Entrepreneurship, business models on sustainability, development studies, human rights for ethnic groups, Cultural Education, Youth , Education, Environment, HIV/AIDS, and all those on which AIESEC and its partners are working on. It would equip the youth with qualities such as leadership, entrepreneurship, team work, management, finances, communication skills, event management, client servicing and most importantly the vision to make a positive impact on society. All in all, it is a golden opportunity for the youth to develop themselves and be one step ahead of their peers.

No Smoking Awareness Campaign by Emax

On eve of No Smoking Day on Friday, Emax College of Education organized a campaign in nearby villages to educate them about the ill effects of smoking. More than 100 faculty members and students in teams went to villages with informative posters and conceptually designed cigarettes. The awareness campaign was headed by Kuldeep Kaur and Sushma Kashyap, both faculty member of the college.

The campaign started by organizing a poster making competition in the college campus. Student’s written different slogans during the competition. Pulkit, a student of College of Education was awarded first prize in concept designing competition. Pulkit designed a huge cigarette with wonderful slogans written on it. Chairman of the College Om Prakash Aggarwal appreciated the students for taking the responsibility of establishing a drug free society.

International Women’s Day Celebrated at Emax

To portray the power of women in the corporate world, Emax Group of Institutions celebrated International Women’s Day at College Campus. Faculty members of Emax College of Education gave presentations on biographies of various business leaders like, Indra Nooyi of Pepsi Company , Chanda Kochar of ICICI Bank, Niana Lal Kidwani of HSBC India, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw of Biocon, Shahnaz Hussain an Beauty Expert, Vinita Bali of Britannia etc. Interactive lectures on domestic violence, importance of girl education, female infanticide, computer literacy, grooming and self-dependence were conducted A talk on “Do women make better bosses?” was also organized by the Emax College of Management.

Shalini Malviya, Renowned Social Activist, Director of Idea Foundation – A IT Company working on Global Projects and Ms. Suneeta Dhariwal Jangid Renowned Social Activist were the Special guests on the occasion.

Ms. Shalini Malviya in his keynote address said that women empowerment is necessary for inclusive growth of the nation. She called upon every one to join the movement for true empowerment and help end the gender war. She shared her views that women should not look forward for women empowerment but should empower themselves with the right education and change in approach towards womanhood. Suneeta Dhariwal gave numerous outstanding examples of contributions of womens in different fields like social service, education, health, sports, police, business, industry, music, dance etc. She said that men’s perception of women as equals and women’s awareness of their rights are necessary for real empowerment. She emphasized giving due importance to “self”, which the women in their multi-faceted roles as daughter, sister, wife and mother.

Chairman of the Group, Om Prakash Aggarwal while addressing the audience said that its not only the men who can excel in the business world, the above names are a live example in history which prove that if given a chance women can perform far better than men. He emphasized that the girl students of this college should learn from these great personalities and adopt them as their role models so that they can achieve great heights.

Rajiv Bansal, Finance Secretary said it was the contribution of the ladies on the family front which relieved their husbands from family commitments and who in turn could concentrate on their professional commitments. Ladies were apprised of their rights and privileges and also reminded of their duties that they have to discharge to make this world a better place.

Collaboration of E-max with Netherlands based World's largest student run organization AIESEC

Chandigarh: E-max Group of Institutions collaborated with one of the worlds largest Student run organization AIESEC headquartered in Netherlands for jointly working on Global Exchange programme with over 1600 universities through out the world. The collaboration aims at encouraging students to go for work abroad programme and live projects during graduation and post graduation in Continents of Asia, America, Europe, South America, Australia and Africa. Mr. Mustafa from Kabul University, Afghanistan; Ms. Julia from Germany; Ms. Flora from Germany; Mr. Hasan from CapeTown, South Africa were representing their respective Countries. Vice Chairman Prithvi Raj Bansal, Pradeep Aggarwal, General Secretary; Rajiv Bansal Finance Secretary ; Sunil Arya, Training & Placement Officer and Praveen Sharma, Media Manager were present on behalf of E-max.

The papers of Collaboration for joint working were signed by Karan Garg, Team Leader, Global Exchange and Om Prakash Aggarwal Aggarwal, Chairman of Emax Group of Institutions. By Signing this MoU E-max students will be given a chance to work on abroad projects of AIESEC partnership companies like Alcatel-Lucent, ING, Vale, DP-DHL, Facebook, Electrolux, IE Business School, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Reckitt Benckiser, Husqvarna, Microsoft, Artemisia, Tata Consultancy Services and UBS. These partnerships are mainly related to presence of these partners at AIESEC's forums, and provision of talent from AIESEC to these partners AIESEC provides global talent sourcing for PwC, Alcatel Lucent, and DHL. AnĂ­bal Cavaco Silva, former President of Portugal is the current Government Head of State along with Martti Ahtisaari former presendent of Finland. Ratan Naval Tata Chairman of Tata Group, Adi Godrej Chairman of Godrej Group and Nandan Nilekani, Chairman of Unique Identification Authority of India were some of the noteworthy personalities supporting AIESEC India.

This collaboration was to be followed up by seminar on the theme ‘Global Exchange – Work Abroad Programme’ witnessing sessions on ‘Understanding globalization’, ‘Understanding Cross Cultural Environment’, ‘Exploring Leadership potential by representing India Abroad’, ‘ Youth Development’ etc.

He said that soon a industry- interaction cell is being build up in the campus to bridge the gap between academics and industry requirements.

E max celebrated National Safety Day

Emax Group of Institutions celebrated National Safety Day by organizing an industry relevant seminar to educate and aware budding engineers about the various aspects of safety required at workplace.

The industrial perspective and importance of safety in construction, production, research and development were discussed during the seminar. Engineer Satish Kumar Tanwar, Regional Head Technical Services, Ultra Tech Cement Ltd Aditya Birla Group, Anshu Kumar. Expert and Consultant to United Nations Development Programme, UNEP, UNICEF & GTZ and Professor Basudeo Prasad, Ex Deputy Director, CSIO and renowned Scientist were among the best speakers of the seminar. Shashi Gaggar, Zonal Head, Ultra Tech Cement was also present on the occasion for a brief interaction with the students.

Satish Tanwar emphasized on various safety measures which one should follow in Construction Industry. Anshu Kumar presented his views on Energy Efficiency, Emerson Technologies for Training on Energy Conservation. Professor Basudeo Prasad interacted with the students on various electronic gadgets and instruments which can be used for safety measurements.

Chairman of the college Om Prakash Aggarwal said that safety is required in every field of engineering and right awareness can prevent most of the accidents. He also emphasized on knowledge of important precautionary measures and shows seriousness on implementation of safety policies in industries.

Director General of the college Dr Baljeet Kapoor said that industrial safety is one of the growing careers in engineering. He said that even though, safety is mandatory and is essential, it is absolutely impossible to make every employee sit and train them to follow safety procedures all the time. Accidents do happen in any industry, but awareness will help keeping a worker safe from any fatalities.
