Two Emax Students won bronze at National Taekwondo Championship




Two Engineering students of Emax Institute of Engineering and Technology Mohit Singh and Amit Kumar won bronze medial for Haryana in 57-63 kg category at the 32nd National Taekwondo Championship for Senior, Junior, Sub-Junior & PEE-WEE Male & Female 2012 recently concluded during last week of December at Amritsar, Punjab. Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI), Taekwondo Academy of India and the Korean Martial Art Taekwondo Academy were the Joint Organizers of the Championship. The Championship was organized for open weight category from each State Association & Academy and over 350 Candidates from Different states of India Participated.
"I got to know about taekwondo training from one of my friends. So, I contacted the trainer and he agreed to teach me," said Mohit Singh, a mechanical engineering student from emax , is looking forward for an opportunity to contest in an  National tournament.
The institute is planning to provide a platform to Mohit & Amit to participate in National & International competitions once they attain formal educations and training. "Amit became a good taekwondo performer within one year of training. With further practice his performance would improve. His interest in learning taekwondo was amazing and he learnt it very well. " said Director Sports Rajiv Nayyar.
"Taekwondo is one of the disciplines played in Olympics too. Some of the inspired Engineering  students from emax and especially from Haryana are improving their performance in this form of martial arts," said Om Prakash Aggarwal CMD of Emax Institutes. Chairman PR Bansal appreciated the efforts of the students and said that he has brought fame to the institution by bagging  bronze in National Championship.
College management organised a felicitation function to honour the champion, wherein CMD Om Prakash Aggarwal, Chairman PR Bansal, Managing Director Pardeep Aggarwal, Finance Secretary Rajiv Bansal felicitated the student for making the institution proud.
