78 students got placements in 2 Days Emax Job Fair Opportunity 2011

As many as 8 companies from various sectors took part in the Emax Job Fair Opportunity 2011, which saw 78 students from various streams getting short listed/recruited. Nearly 1200 students from various colleges and institutes from all across the North India took part in the fair, which saw various openings in the field of marketing management, financial management, mechanical engineering, IT and computer science engineering. The fair had job opportunities for students from all levels of education i.e. diploma, graduation and post graduation.

Big Corporates like Tata Teleservices, Vodafone, Solitaire Infosys Inc, Mind Excel Systems, Cheema Boilers Limited, Majestic Solutions, All India Technical and Management Association participated in the Job Fest and selected 78 candidates. Selection process started with pre placement talk and further group discussions, written test, technical interviews, HR interviews are taken. Mohit Sharma and Bhupinder Sharma represented Solitaire Infosys and selected 12 students for Computer Science and Information Technology. Prabal Bhardwaj, HR Mind Excel selected 3 MBA Finance and Marketing students, Vodfone selected 28 MBA Marketing Students, Sheetal, HR Head of Majestic Solutions selected 15 Candidates for Marketing, Deep Chaudhary, HR Manager of All India Technical and Management Association selected 12 MBA Candidates. Tata Teleservices selected 8 MBA Marketing Candidates. Cheema Boilers selected 20 Mechanical Engineers as design engineers for its various locations across India. Selected candidates will be given a pay package ranging from 2 Lacs to 4 Lacs.

Sumit Sharma, a student of MBA Finance Marketing who got selected with 4 Companies in the Fest said, "With 8 companies hiring at one time, you have lot of options and lots of chances as well. One can hit at one, after missing the other. When you are appearing for a number of job positions at a single time, it is natural that you will get one in your pocket. It is indeed very good on the part of the College to arrange for a job fair with high number of participation by the quality recruiters." Big names like Mahindra, Volkswagon, Tata Teleservices, Vodafonr, Solitair Infosys, Omega Maritime Management Services Pvt. Ltd, NIIT, Bharti Maxtel, etc. have conducted placement programs for students of Emax from different streams. With more companies approaching the campus for hiring students, Department of Placements & Training, Emax expects a record number of placements this year. Cheema Boilers Ltd. picks 12 Mechanical students from Emax Group of Institutions

A Joint Campus Placement Drive was organized at Emax Group of Institutions by Cheema Boilers Ltd. for picking up bright Final year Mechanical B.Tech & Diploma students of the region. Over 575 students from across various colleges of north India participated in the joint placement drive. The drive started with a pre-placement talk by Raman Angra, Corporate Head HR & Admn and Navpreet Singh, Technical Head of Cheema Boilers Ltd. This was followed by technical written test to shortlist selected candidates. 88 students cleared the written technical test. Finally 12 students were selected after the personal and technical interviews. The selected candidates will join as Junior Engineer with salary package of 1.40 lacs to 2.50 lacs. Company’s Representative expressed satisfaction on the quality of the students and wished them a bright future ahead and assured to visit again for selection of more students from Emax Group of Institutions. Rajiv Bansal, Secretary Finance of the Emax Group congratulated the selected students and motivated them to their best to their abilities in their respective jobs. Pradeep Aggarwal, General Secretary of the College thanked the officials of the company and stressed upon the students to work with a clear vision and focus to succeed in the highly competitive scenario. TPO of the College informed that E-Max is organizing a two days Job Fest “OPPORTUNITY – 2011” on 8 & 9 December, 2011 at College Campus. In this Fest many national & international companies will be visiting and selecting the students. He told that apart from the students of the Emax Group, students of the other colleges can also participate in the fest.
