78 students got placements in 2 Days Emax Job Fair Opportunity 2011

As many as 8 companies from various sectors took part in the Emax Job Fair Opportunity 2011, which saw 78 students from various streams getting short listed/recruited. Nearly 1200 students from various colleges and institutes from all across the North India took part in the fair, which saw various openings in the field of marketing management, financial management, mechanical engineering, IT and computer science engineering. The fair had job opportunities for students from all levels of education i.e. diploma, graduation and post graduation.

Big Corporates like Tata Teleservices, Vodafone, Solitaire Infosys Inc, Mind Excel Systems, Cheema Boilers Limited, Majestic Solutions, All India Technical and Management Association participated in the Job Fest and selected 78 candidates. Selection process started with pre placement talk and further group discussions, written test, technical interviews, HR interviews are taken. Mohit Sharma and Bhupinder Sharma represented Solitaire Infosys and selected 12 students for Computer Science and Information Technology. Prabal Bhardwaj, HR Mind Excel selected 3 MBA Finance and Marketing students, Vodfone selected 28 MBA Marketing Students, Sheetal, HR Head of Majestic Solutions selected 15 Candidates for Marketing, Deep Chaudhary, HR Manager of All India Technical and Management Association selected 12 MBA Candidates. Tata Teleservices selected 8 MBA Marketing Candidates. Cheema Boilers selected 20 Mechanical Engineers as design engineers for its various locations across India. Selected candidates will be given a pay package ranging from 2 Lacs to 4 Lacs.

Cheema Boilers Ltd. picks 12 Mechanical students from Emax Group of Institutions

A Joint Campus Placement Drive was organized at Emax Group of Institutions by Cheema Boilers Ltd. for picking up bright Final year Mechanical B.Tech & Diploma students of the region. Over 575 students from across various colleges of north India participated in the joint placement drive. The drive started with a pre-placement talk by Raman Angra, Corporate Head HR & Admn and Navpreet Singh, Technical Head of Cheema Boilers Ltd. This was followed by technical written test to shortlist selected candidates. 88 students cleared the written technical test. Finally 12 students were selected after the personal and technical interviews. The selected candidates will join as Junior Engineer with salary package of 1.40 lacs to 2.50 lacs. Company’s Representative expressed satisfaction on the quality of the students and wished them a bright future ahead and assured to visit again for selection of more students from Emax Group of Institutions. E-Max signs MoU with New York, US based Sebiz

Education for employability is the buzzword at E-Max. On Monday, E Max Group of institutions entered into collaboration with CMMI 3 US headquartered Sebiz Infotech, for ‘Global Partnership in Education & Skill Building for Enhanced Employability.’ Through this partnership, Sebiz and E Max Group of Institutions will jointly work towards creating a complete academic framework for attracting and creating a large base of skilled manpower in Information Technology in the Region. MoU was signed by Chairman of Emax Om Prakash Aggarwal and Aroop Shrivastava, Training and Process Manager of Sebiz.

According to the MoU, the two biggies in the education will aims at developing domain knowledge expertise in various fields of Computer Science and Information Technology. Managing Director of Panache Global Varun Gupta was also present during the signing of MoU.

At the signing ceremony, Training and Placement Officer Er. Sunil Kumar Arya said that this collaboration would provide the right kind of skills to learners in the region. “Education without skills creates problems. This collaboration is hoped to build capacities of the young engineers and managers and will also boost Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER). Following the National Skills Mission target, as declared by the Prime Minister, India needs to impart education with employable skills training to 500 million youths by 2020. “This collaboration is a strong step forward in that direction. Emax Campaigns Against Polythene Bags

Young enthusiasts and members of Eco Club of Emax Group of Institutions has coming up with issues concerning environment from time to time. Taking time out of their studies, students and faculty members busily commune with shopkeepers at various places in Panchkula to spread the message of pollution caused by polythene bags. Highlighting their event as “Drive against use of polythene Bags”, enthusiasts went from shop to shop to aware and spread the message of pollution caused by polythene bags. Dr.Nidhi Mathur, President of the Eco Club of Emax said , “We are trying to educate the city dweller as well as the shop keeper of the haphazardness the polythene bags brings in the environment. We are emphasizing on the usage of cotton/ eco-friendly bags. Also, there are certain kinds of plastic bags available which can be used legally keeping healthy environment in mind. These are generally above 40 microns and have a logo – a triangle with 1 or 2 printed inside it. This means it is recyclable and can be used for grocery, food items, etc. Our main aim is to curtail the usage as much as possible.”

“Polythene is not only harmful and a source of pollution but detrimental to our economy as well. We should establish paper bags manufacturing units so that our unemployed youth earn their livelihood,” said Chairman of the College Om Prakash Aggarwal . He said that in accordance with the Central regulations, use of recycled or polythene bags of less than 20 microns has been banned.

6 Emax Students selected In Ultra Tech Cement Limited

In a placement drive facilitated by Training and placement department of Emax Group of Institutions gave opportunity to 6 Civil Diploma students to start their career with Ultra Tech Cement Limited. Passing out batch of Emax Polytechnic participated in the placement drive in which over 35 shortlisted candidates appeared. Shorlisted candidates by Tranining and placement department appeared for Technical rounds at the Company Office. The selected students will start their career as Lab Engineers after getting their final year examination results and getting selected in HR Round. Awareness campaign to spread education awareness in Labour Colonies during World Day against Child Labour

Hundreds of millions of girls and boys throughout the world are engaged in work that deprives them of adequate education, health, leisure and basic freedoms, violating their rights. Of these children, more than half are exposed to the worst forms of child labour such as work in hazardous environments, slavery, or other forms of forced labour, illicit activities such as drug trafficking and prostitution, as well as involvement in armed conflict. In year 2011 the World Day against Child Labour will be marked around the world with activities to raise awareness that Education is the right response to child labour.

On World Day Against Child Labour Emax Group of Institutions organized a series of activities in labour colonies for the purpose of raising awareness and activism to prevent child labour and to generate awareness about requirement of basic education in human life.

Om Parkash Aggarwal, Chairman of E-Max Group of Institutions said that International labour organization has estimated that some 165 million children between the ages of 5 and 14 are involved in child labour. Many of these children work long hours, often in dangerous conditions. Child labour is closely associated with poverty. Many poor families are unable to afford school fees or other school costs. The family may depend on the contribution that a working child makes to the household’s income, and place more importance on that than on education. And when a family has to make a choice between sending either a boy or girl to school, it is often the girl who loses out.

E Max student selected for Internship in Russia

E Max MBA College student Sumit Sharma has been selected to participate in the AIESEC’s Global internship program as Exchange Participant. He will gain practical experience in pursuit of their Management degree by researching cross cultural Communications, team management skills and providing assistance to AIESEC in Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia Sumit Sharma is a Delhi native with an academic background in Commerce and an interest in international relief and development work. He will be joining his counterparts from China, Korea and Poland on 11th July in Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia.

Alsu Zakirova, Chief Coordinator of the project said that it will be very beneficial for management students to participate in global projects as this will greatly enhance their leadership as well as cross cultural communication skills.
AIESEC is a global youth organisation that develops leadership capabilities through their internal leadership programmes and engaging students and graduates in international student exchange and internship programmes for profit and non-profit organisations. Its
international office is in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Training and Placement officer of the College Sunil Arya said that a few months back E-Max has done an MoU with AIESEC world’s largest student run organization to provide global projects in various fields like technical, development, management and education. He said that after the MoU Sumit will be the first one to go for an international project and hopefully more management and engineering students are expected to come forward to show their skills on the global platform.

Celebrate World Environment Day By Planting Saplings At E-Max

ECO Club of E-Max Group of Institutions celebrated the Environment day by planting saplings in the College premises. The planting saplings by Om Parkash Aggarwal, Chairman of College. On this occasion besides the Chairman, Vice Chairman P R Bansal, Finance Secretary Rajiv Bansal, T&P Officer Sunil Arya & Media Manager Praveen Sharma of the College were also present. All the students pledged to protect the environment from air and water pollution.

Chairman of E-Max Group Omparkash Aggarwal said World Environment Day is celebrated around the world in many ways, including street rallies, bicycle parades, green concerts, essay and poster competitions in colleges, , recycling efforts, clean-up campaigns and much more but for better environment is tree planting.

Vice Chairman of the College P.R.Bansal said that a healthy mind lives in a healthy body and a healthy body can only be maintained in a healthy environment. He said that the young generations should come forward to take the responsibility to save environment. He urged every student to take pledge to plant a tree on his or her birthday.

CSIO Ex-Associate Director/Scientist-‘G’ designated as Director in Emax

Dr. Sushil K. Kaura, Ex-Associate Director/Scientist – ‘G’ designated as Director in E-Max Institute of Engineering & Technology. Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO) is a national instrumentation research laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of the Government of India. CSIO was established in October 1959 as a laboratory which works on the research, design, and development of scientific and industrial instruments. CSIO is one of the constituent laboratories of the CSIR, a multi-disciplinary and multi-dimensional apex industrial research and development (R&D) organization Dr. Kaura, Ph.D (Punjabi Univ., Patiala); M.Tech (Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi); M.Sc (Punjabi Univ., Patiala) has more than 34 years of working experience as Associate Director/Scientist-‘G’ at Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO/CSIR), Chandigarh in the areas of Research & Development, Teaching, Human Resource Development and Administration etc. He has successfully completed, as Principal Investigator, a large number of sponsored and in-house Research & Development Projects; created and established several state-of-the-art new laboratories and infrastructure facilities. He was awarded DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Fellowship (1982-83); IIT Delhi M.Tech Fellowship (1973-75); Govt. of India National Scholarship for study abroad (1979-80). He has also worked as a visiting Scientist at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Braunschweig, West Germany (1982-83) as a DAAD fellow. He has published over 85 Research Papers in various International / National Journals & Conference Proceedings; delivered several invited lectures, and supervised theses of a large number of graduate and postgraduate students. His R&D work has been cited extensively by many scientific colleagues / authors in various journals / books; and is Peer Reviewer of Faculty and Scientists in India and abroad. He has also worked as Director-Principal of one of the leading Engineering & Management Institute affiliated with Kurukshetra University. He, on invitation, is on the panel of Referees for several National and International Scientific Research Journals; Scientific Research Funding Agencies engaged in providing financial grant / support for Research & Development Projects. He has organized, as Convener / Member, a large number of International and National Conferences/Symposia. He is Fellow / Member of several Professional Societies; like Fellow, Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE); Fellow, OSI; and Member, Computer Society of India; Member, Instruments Society of India; Member, SPIE, USA.
